The Gong Quartet was inspired after attending a gong bath here at Floating Lotus. I was very much intrigued by the sound and the musical journey that one could take.
I studied percussion with members of the New York Philharmonic Orchestra in New York City. Time was also spent with jazz drummer Earl William, a prominent studio and jazz drummer.
My college years were spent in Emporia, Kansas where I majored in anthropology and sociology. During this time, I was also a member of the College Of Emporia Symphony Orchestra, I directed the percussion ensemble, was the stage manager, played all the musicals and lectured on percussion. I also performed with local jazz groups, R&B, country western bands, and so much more.
Bring yoga mat, pillows, blankets, anything needed to relax for this session. Recommended for adults and young adults over 12 as this is a quiet, meditative environment.
